Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place phone on stable surface.

  1. Connect network: Use Ethernet cable to connect LAN port to network switch.
  2. Connect PC (optional): Use second Ethernet cable from PC port to computer.
  3. Connect handset: Plug coiled handset cord into handset port.
  4. Power on: Phone will boot via PoE or external power adapter.

WARNING! Use only approved power sources. Ensure network cables are securely connected.

First-Time Setup

Phone will automatically register with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM).

  1. Check registration: Look for extension number on display after boot.
  2. Set user preferences: Press Settings button to configure ringtone, display contrast, etc.
  3. Configure voicemail: Press Messages button to set up voicemail access.
  4. Test call: Make a test call to verify audio quality.

CAUTION! Do not unplug during firmware upgrade. Allow phone to complete boot process.

Advanced Call Features

Supports hold, transfer, conference, call forwarding, voicemail.

  1. Make call: Lift handset or press Speakerphone, dial number.
  2. Hold: Press Hold button during active call.
  3. Transfer: Press Transfer, dial target number, press Transfer again.
  4. Conference: Press Conference, dial participant, press Conference again to merge.
  5. Call forwarding: Configure via phone settings or CUCM.
  6. Voicemail: Press Messages button to access.
  7. Redial: Press Redial or navigate to recent calls list.
  8. Speed dial: Assign numbers to line buttons via settings.

WARNING! Do not use liquid cleaners on buttons. Use dry cloth only.

Accessibility Features

Visual alerts: Flashing LED for incoming calls. Audio adjustments: Separate volume controls for ringer, handset, speaker. Headset mode: Enable for hands-free operation.

Care & Cleaning
