Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place phone on stable surface.

  1. Connect network: Use Ethernet cable to connect SW port to network switch.
  2. Connect PC (optional): Use Ethernet cable from PC port to computer.
  3. Connect handset: Plug coiled handset cord into handset port.
  4. Connect headset (optional): Plug headset into RJ-9 headset port.
  5. Power: Phone receives power via PoE or optional power adapter.

WARNING! Use only approved power sources. Ensure cables are securely connected.

First-Time Setup

Phone boots automatically when connected to network.

  1. Network registration: Phone contacts Cisco Unified Communications Manager for configuration.

  5. Conference: During active call, press Conference, dial participant, press Conference again.
  6. Forward calls: Press CFwdAll, enter destination number.
  7. Voicemail: Press Messages button to access voicemail system.
  8. Speed dial: Program keys for one-touch dialing via phone settings.
