Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure host phone is powered off.

First-Time Setup

After physical installation, power on host phone; module should auto-detect.

  1. Check connection status: STATUS LED should turn solid green if connected successfully.
  2. Access phone configuration: On host phone, navigate to Settings > Accessories > Expansion Module.
  3. Assign key functions: Use phone web GUI or settings menu to map features (speed dial, line, BLF, etc.) to module keys.
  4. Test keys: Place test call or trigger feature to confirm LED and button response.

CAUTION! Do not disconnect module while host phone is powered on. Allow phone to fully boot before configuring.

Host Phone Configuration Path: Settings > Accessories > Expansion Module > Key Assignment.

Connecting to Host Phone

  3. For multiple modules: Connect first module to phone, second module to first module's expansion out port (if available).
  4. Power on phone; modules will be detected in sequence.

Tip: Ensure phone firmware supports expansion module and daisy-chaining. Check compatibility matrix.

Configuring Keys

Keys are configured via phone web interface or settings menu.

  1. Access configuration: On phone, press Settings > Accessories > Expansion Module.
  2. Select key: Navigate to key position (e.g., Key 1, Key 2).
  3. Choose key type: Select from Line, Speed Dial, BLF, Feature, etc.
  4. Enter parameters: For speed dial, enter number and label; for BLF, enter directory number.
  5. Save: Apply changes; key LED may blink to confirm.
  6. Test: Use key to ensure it performs assigned function.

WARNING! Configuration changes may require phone reset or call processing update. Save work before modifying.

Firmware and Updates

Module firmware is updated via host phone. Phone must have current firmware and internet/network access to download module updates.

Check Firmware Version: Phone web interface > Accessories > Expansion Module > Information. Update Process: Phone will prompt or auto-download module firmware if available; follow on-screen instructions. Reset After Update: Module may restart; keys retain configuration.

Care & Cleaning

Disconnect from power (power off host phone) before cleaning. Use dry, lint-free cloth; for stubborn marks, dampen cloth with water only. Do not use solvents.

CAUTION! Avoid liquids near connectors. Do not spray cleaners directly on module.
