Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Ensure you have the phone, handset, power adapter, and documentation.

  1. Charge the battery: Insert the battery and connect the phone to AC power using the provided adapter. Allow it to charge fully.
  2. Attach the handset: Connect the coiled handset cord to the handset and the phone base.
  3. Power on: Press and hold the Power button until the display lights up.
  4. Install antenna: If using an external antenna, attach it securely to the antenna connector.

WARNING! Use only approved Cisco power adapters and batteries. Do not expose the phone to extreme temperatures or moisture during installation.

First-Time Setup

Power on the phone; follow on-screen prompts to connect to your wireless network.

  1. Select language: From the setup menu, choose your preferred language (default is ENGLISH).
  2. Connect to Wi-Fi: Navigate to Network Settings, select your wireless network, and enter the security key.
  3. Register with Call Manager: The phone will attempt to auto-register with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM). Enter any required credentials if prompted.

Making and Receiving Calls

  2. Answer a call: Press Answer softkey, Speakerphone, or Headset button.
  3. End a call: Press End Call softkey or press the Power button briefly.
  4. Hold/Resume: Press Hold softkey to place call on hold; press Resume to retrieve.
  5. Transfer: During a call, press Transfer, dial target number, press Transfer again.
  6. Conference: During a call, press Conference, dial second party, press Conference again to merge.
  7. Call History: Press Applications button > Call History to view missed, received, placed calls.
