Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface.

  1. Connect to Network: Use Ethernet cable to connect the PC port to your computer and the Network port to your switch/router.
  2. Power the Phone: Use Power over Ethernet (PoE) from a compatible switch or connect the optional power adapter.
  3. Connect Handset: Plug the handset cord into the dedicated jack on the phone.
  4. Optional Headset: Plug a wired headset into the 3.5mm headset jack.

WARNING! Use only approved power sources. Ensure network cables are securely connected.

First-Time Setup

Power on the phone; it will attempt to connect to the Cisco Unified Communications Manager.

  1. Network Configuration: The phone should obtain an IP address automatically via DHCP.
  2. Firmware Upgrade: The phone may download and install the latest firmware from the server.
  3. Extension Registration: Enter your extension and authentication credentials as provided by your administrator.
  4. Basic Settings: Configure time zone, language, and ringtone preferences via the phone's settings menu.

CAUTION! Do not disconnect power during firmware upgrade. Contact your system administrator for configuration details.

Tip: Use quality Category 5e or higher Ethernet cables for Gigabit performance.

Phone Operations

Supports basic and advanced call features.

  1. Make a Call: Lift handset or press Speaker button, then dial number.
  2. Answer a Call: Lift handset, press Speaker, or press the flashing line button.
  3. Hold: Press HOLD button to place a call on hold.
  4. Transfer: During a call, press TRANSFER, dial the target number, then complete transfer.
  5. Conference: During a call, press CONFERENCE, dial another party, then press CONFERENCE again to merge.
  6. Voicemail: Press MESSAGES button to access voicemail (requires system configuration).
  7. Directory: Press DIRECTORY to view personal and corporate directories.
  8. Call History: Press the navigation button to view missed, received, and placed calls.

WARNING! Do not expose the phone to liquids. Use only approved accessories.

Care & Cleaning
