Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface near network outlet.

  1. Connect to network: Use Ethernet cable to connect phone's SW port to network jack.
  2. Connect computer (optional): Use second Ethernet cable from PC port to computer.
  3. Connect handset: Plug coiled handset cord into handset jack.
  4. Power the phone: Use PoE from switch or optional power adapter.

WARNING! Use only approved power adapter. Ensure cables are not pinched or damaged.

First-Time Setup

Phone will automatically register with Cisco Unified Communications Manager.

  1. Check registration: Wait for phone to boot; check display for extension number.
  2. Set preferences: Press Settings button to configure ring tone, volume, display contrast.
  3. Test call: Lift handset and dial another extension to verify audio.
  4. Configure voicemail: Press Messages button and follow prompts to set up voicemail.

  3. For headset, plug into 3.5mm jack and press Headset button to activate.

Tip: Use Cat5e or better Ethernet cables for Gigabit performance.

Using Phone Features

Supports basic and advanced telephony features.

  1. Make call: Lift handset or press Speakerphone, dial number.
  2. Answer call: Lift handset, press Speakerphone, or press Answer softkey.
  3. Hold: Press Hold button during active call.
  4. Transfer: Press Transfer, dial target number, press Transfer again.
  5. Conference: Press Conference, dial participant, press Conference again.
  6. Voicemail: Press Messages button and follow prompts.
  7. Redial: Press Redial to call last dialed number.
  8. Call history: Use navigation buttons to view missed, received, placed calls.

WARNING! Do not use excessive force on buttons or handset cradle.
