Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface.

  1. Connect to network: Plug Ethernet cable from switch into the network port on the phone.
  2. Connect PC (optional): Plug PC Ethernet cable into the PC port on the phone.
  3. Connect handset: Attach coiled handset cord to handset and phone base.
  4. Connect power: Use external power supply or Power over Ethernet (PoE).

WARNING! Use only approved power adapter. Ensure network cables are securely connected.

First-Time Setup

Phone boots and registers with Cisco Unified Communications Manager.

  1. Verify registration: Check display for extension number and "Registered" status.
  2. Set user preferences: Press Settings button to set language, ring tone, contrast, etc.
  3. Configure directories: Access Directories to set up personal and corporate contacts.

Tip: Use quality Category 5e or higher Ethernet cables for reliable connectivity.

Using Phone Features

Supports basic and advanced telephony features.

  1. Make a call: Lift handset or press Speakerphone, dial number, or use directory.
  2. Answer a call: Lift handset, press Speakerphone, or press Answer softkey.
  3. Hold: Press Hold softkey to place call on hold; resume with Resume softkey.
  4. Transfer: During a call, press Transfer, dial target number, press Transfer again.
  5. Conference: During a call, press Conference, dial participant, press Conference again.
  6. Forward: Press CFwdAll softkey, enter destination number.
  7. Voicemail: Press Messages button or dial voicemail access number.
  8. Directories: Press Directories button to access missed, received, placed calls, and corporate directory.

WARNING! Do not use excessive force on buttons or handset. Keep liquids away from phone.

Accessibility Features
