Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable conference table.

  1. Connect to Network: Use Ethernet cable to connect to PoE switch or injector.
  2. Connect Expansion Microphones: Plug CP-MIC-C88 microphones into ports on back of unit.
  3. Power On: Phone will power on automatically via PoE. If using AC adapter, plug into power outlet.
  4. Position Phone: Place in center of table for optimal audio pickup.

WARNING! Use only approved power sources. Ensure Ethernet cable is securely connected.

First-Time Setup

Phone will boot and attempt to register with Cisco Unified Communications Manager.

  1. Network Configuration: If using DHCP, phone will obtain IP automatically. For static IP, configure via touch screen menu.
  2. Register with CUCM: Enter provided extension and authentication credentials if required.
  3. Set Language: In Settings menu, select preferred language (default is ENGLISH).
  4. Audio Calibration: Run built-in audio setup wizard for optimal speaker and microphone levels.

  4. Hold/Resume: Tap hold button during active call.
  5. Transfer: Tap transfer, enter target number, tap transfer again.
  6. Conference: During call, tap conference, dial second party, tap conference to merge.
  7. Mute: Tap mute button on screen or press physical MUTE button (LED lights red).
