Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place phone on stable surface.

  1. Connect to Network: Use Ethernet cable to connect SWITCH port to network jack.
  2. Connect PC (Optional): Use second Ethernet cable from PC port to computer.
  3. Power the Phone: Use PoE from switch or connect external power adapter.
  4. Connect Handset: Plug coiled handset cord into handset port.
  5. Connect Headset (Optional): Plug into headset port on back of phone.

WARNING! Use only approved power adapter. Ensure cables are securely connected.

First-Time Setup

Phone will boot and attempt to register with the call server.

  1. Check Network: Ensure Ethernet link is active (LEDs illuminated).
  2. Verify Registration: Check display for extension number and "Registered" status.
  3. Set Preferences: Press Settings button to configure time/date, ring tones, language.
  4. Test Audio: Make a test call to verify handset, speakerphone, and headset.

Connecting Devices

Network: SWITCH port to network. PC: PC port to computer. Headset: Standard 2.5mm or USB headset to appropriate port.

  2. Use Cat5e or better Ethernet cables for network connections.
  3. For headset use, configure phone settings to route audio to headset.

Making and Receiving Calls

Basic call handling operations.

  1. Make Call: Lift handset or press Speaker/Headset button, dial number, press Dial softkey or wait for auto-dial.
  2. Answer Call: Press Answer softkey, lift handset, or press Speaker/Headset.
  3. End Call: Press EndCall softkey or hang up handset.
  4. Hold: Press Hold button during active call.
  5. Transfer: During call, press Transfer, dial target number, press Transfer again.
  6. Conference: During call, press Conference, dial participant, press Conference again to merge.
  7. Redial: Press Redial button or select from call history.
  8. Mute: Press Mute button to toggle microphone on/off.

WARNING! Do not use phone during electrical storms. Use headset for extended calls.

Advanced Features

Call History: Press Directories button to view missed, received, placed calls. Speed Dials: Program frequently called numbers to programmable buttons. Voicemail: Press Messages button to access visual voicemail (if configured). Forwarding: Configure call forwarding via phone menu or web interface. Do Not Disturb (DND): Activate to silence ringer and send calls to voicemail.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug power before cleaning. Use slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Do not use liquids or aerosols directly on phone.
