Installation

  2. Connect PC (optional): Use Ethernet cable to connect PC port to computer.
  3. Power the phone: Use Power over Ethernet (PoE) or external power adapter.
  4. Connect handset: Plug handset cord into handset port.

WARNING! Use only approved power sources. Ensure network cables are securely connected.

First-Time Setup

Power on phone; follow on-screen prompts.

  1. Network registration: Phone will attempt to register with Cisco Unified Communications Manager.

Using Phone Features

  1. Make call: Lift handset or press Speakerphone, dial number.
  2. Answer call: Lift handset, press Speakerphone, or press Answer softkey.
  3. Hold: Press Hold button during active call.
  4. Transfer: Press Transfer, dial target number, press Transfer again.
  5. Conference: Press Conference, dial participant, press Conference again.
  6. Forward: Press CFwdAll, enter destination number.
  7. Voice messages: Press Messages button to access voice mail.
  8. Directories: Press Directories to search corporate or personal contacts.

WARNING! Do not use phone during electrical storms. Use headset in appropriate environments.
