Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable desk surface.

  1. Connect to network: Plug Ethernet cable from switch into SW port on phone.
  2. Connect PC (optional): Plug Ethernet cable from PC port to computer.
  3. Connect handset: Insert coiled handset cord into handset jack.
  4. Connect headset (optional): Plug into headset port on side of phone.
  5. Apply power: Use PoE from switch or connect external power adapter.

WARNING! Use only approved power adapter. Ensure cables are not pinched or damaged.

First-Time Setup

Power on phone; follow on-screen prompts.

  1. Network registration: Phone will attempt to obtain IP address and register with call control.
  2. Verify registration: Check for extension number and "Registered" status on screen.
  3. Set preferences: Use Settings menu to configure language, time format, ringtone.
  4. Program keys: Use web interface or phone menu to assign functions to programmable keys.
  5. Test call: Place a test call to verify audio quality and functionality.

CAUTION! Do not place phone in direct sunlight or near heat sources.

Controls and Settings

Access menu via NAVIGATION cluster. Front buttons: MUTE, HOLD/RESUME, SPEAKERPHONE, HEADSET.

Navigation: Up/Down/Left/Right arrows, SELECT, BACK, SOFT KEYS (context-sensitive).

Settings: Language, Time Format, Display Contrast, Ringtone Selection, Network Configuration. Audio: Volume controls for handset, speaker, ringer. Network: View IP address, subnet mask, gateway, DNS. Programmable Keys: Assign line appearances, speed dials, features (call forward, transfer).

Connecting Devices

Network: SW port to switch, PC port to computer. Audio: Handset, headset, external speaker (via headset port).

  1. Turn off phone before connecting cables if using external power.
  2. Match cables to ports (RJ45 to Ethernet, RJ9/RJ22 to handset).
  3. Verify connections are secure and not loose.

Tip: Use Cat5e or better Ethernet cables for optimal performance.

Using Phone Features

Supports basic and advanced telephony features.

  1. Make call: Lift handset or press SPEAKERPHONE/HEADSET, dial number.
  2. Answer call: Lift handset, press SPEAKERPHONE, or press ANSWER soft key.
  3. Hold call: Press HOLD/RESUME button.
  4. Transfer call: Press TRANSFER, dial target number, press TRANSFER again.
  5. Conference call: Press CONFERENCE, dial first participant, press CONFERENCE again, dial second participant.
  6. Call forward: Press CFwdALL soft key or program via menu.
  7. Voicemail: Press MESSAGES key or dial voicemail access number.
  8. Directory: Access corporate directory or personal speed dials.

WARNING! Do not use handset cord to carry phone. Keep liquids away from device.
