Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface.

  1. Connect to Network: Use Ethernet cable to connect the phone's SW port to your network switch or wall jack.
  2. Connect PC (Optional): Use second Ethernet cable to connect PC port to your computer.
  3. Connect Handset: Plug handset cord into the dedicated jack on the phone.
  4. Power the Phone: Use PoE from switch or connect the external power adapter to the DC port and an AC outlet.

WARNING! Use only approved power adapter. Ensure cables are securely connected to avoid damage.

First-Time Setup

Phone will boot and register with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM).

  1. Network Registration: Phone should automatically obtain IP address and register. Check extension assignment with your administrator.
  2. Set Language: Press Settings button, navigate to User Preferences > Language, select desired language.

Making and Receiving Calls

Basic call operations.

  1. Make a Call: Lift handset or press Speakerphone/Headset, dial number using keypad, press Dial soft key or wait.
  2. Answer a Call: Lift handset, press Answer soft key, or press Speakerphone/Headset.
  3. End a Call: Hang up handset, press EndCall soft key, or press Speakerphone/Headset again.
  4. Hold: Press Hold button during a call. Press Resume to return.
  5. Transfer: During a call, press Transfer, dial target number, press Transfer again to complete.
  6. Conference: During a call, press Conference, dial second party, press Conference again to merge.
  7. Voicemail: Press Messages button or dial your voicemail access number.
  8. Call History: Press the Directory button to view missed, received, and placed calls.

WARNING! Do not use excessive force on keys or handset. Use approved headsets only.

Accessibility Features

Visual Alerts: Flashing LED for incoming calls/messages. Audio Adjustments: Independent volume control for ringer, handset, speaker, headset. High-Contrast Display: Adjust screen contrast in Settings > User Preferences.
