Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface.

  1. Connect to Network: Use Ethernet cable to connect SW port to network switch. Use PC port to connect a computer.
  2. Power the Phone: Use Power over Ethernet (PoE) from switch or connect external power supply.
  3. Connect Handset: Plug coiled handset cord into handset port.
  4. Optional Headset: Plug headset into headset port.

WARNING! Use only approved power sources. Ensure cables are not pinched or damaged.

First-Time Setup

Phone will boot and attempt to obtain configuration from network.

  1. Network Registration: Phone should automatically register with Call Manager or SIP server.
  2. Verify Extension: Check display for assigned extension number and name.
  3. Set User Preferences: Press Settings button to set language, time format, ringtone.
  4. Program Speed Dials: Use phone web interface or settings menu to assign numbers to buttons.

  3. For daisy-chaining a computer, connect PC port to computer's Ethernet port.
  4. Select audio device via Settings > Audio for handset, speaker, or headset.

Tip: Use quality CAT5e or higher cables for Gigabit Ethernet performance.

Using Phone Features

Supports basic and advanced telephony features.

  1. Make a Call: Lift handset or press Speakerphone, dial number, or press a speed dial button.
  2. Answer a Call: Lift handset, press Speakerphone, or press Answer soft key.
  3. Hold: Press Hold button or soft key during a call.
  4. Transfer: Press Transfer, dial target number, announce call, press Transfer again.
  5. Conference: Press Conference, dial first party, press Conference again, dial second party, press Conference to merge.
  6. Voicemail: Press Messages button or dial voicemail access number.
  7. Call History: Press Navigation pad to view missed, received, and placed calls.
  8. XML Services: Access configured web applications via Services button.
