Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface.

  1. Connect to network: Use Ethernet cable to connect SW port to network switch.
  2. Connect PC (optional): Use Ethernet cable to connect PC port to computer.
  3. Power the phone: Use Power over Ethernet (PoE) or external power adapter.
  4. Connect handset and optional headset.

WARNING! Use only approved power adapter. Ensure network cable is securely connected.

First-Time Setup

Phone will boot and register with Cisco Unified Communications Manager.

  1. Verify registration: Check display for extension number and "Registered" status.
  2. Set user preferences: Press Settings button to set ring tone, volume, contrast.
  3. Configure speed dials: Assign numbers to speed-dial buttons via phone menu.
  4. Test basic functions: Make a test call using handset and speakerphone.

CAUTION! Do not disconnect during boot process. Contact administrator for network settings.

Access menus via Settings button. Front Panel: Handset, Speakerphone, Mute, Volume, Navigation, Line buttons.

Settings Menu: User Preferences (ring type, volume, screen contrast), Network Configuration (view IP, MAC), Phone Information (model, firmware). Call Features: Hold, Transfer, Conference, Forward, Park. Audio: Adjust handset, speaker, ringer volume via volume button.

Connecting Devices

Network: SW port to switch. PC: PC port to computer. Headset: 2.5mm jack.

  1. Power off phone before connecting devices.
  2. Use standard Ethernet cables (Cat5e or better).
  3. For headset, use Cisco-compatible 2.5mm headset.

Tip: Label cables for easy identification. Ensure PoE switch provides sufficient power.

Using Phone Features

Supports basic and advanced telephony features.

  1. Make call: Lift handset or press Speakerphone, dial number.
  2. Answer call: Lift handset, press Speakerphone, or press Answer softkey.
  3. Hold: Press Hold button to place call on hold.
  4. Transfer: Press Transfer, dial target number, press Transfer again.
  5. Conference: Press Conference, dial participant, press Conference again.
  6. Forward: Press CFwdAll, dial target number to forward all calls.
  7. Voicemail: Press Messages button to access voicemail.
  8. Directories: Press Directories to access personal and corporate directories.

WARNING! Do not use excessive force on buttons. Use approved accessories only.

Accessibility Features

Visual Alert: Flashing LED for incoming calls. Audio Adjustments: Independent volume control for ringer, handset, speaker. Headset Mode: For hands-free operation. Large Font: Option for larger display text in settings.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug power before cleaning. Use slightly damp, lint-free cloth; no liquids or aerosols.

CAUTION! Do not spray liquids directly on phone. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
