IP Phone Series

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Ethernet cable (Cat5e or higher)
  • Power adapter (if not using PoE)
  • Screwdriver (for wall mount)
  • Network switch with PoE support
  • Computer for configuration

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Choose Installation Location: Select a location near network connection with proper ventilation and accessibility.
  2. Unpack Phone: Remove all packaging materials and check contents including handset, base, cables, and documentation.
  3. Connect Network Cable: Connect Ethernet cable from network switch to the LAN port on the phone. Use PoE if available.
  4. Connect Computer (Optional): Connect computer to PC port on phone for pass-through networking.
  5. Power Connection: Connect power adapter if not using Power over Ethernet (PoE).
  6. Connect Handset: Connect handset cord to handset port and handset.
  7. Power On: Power on the phone and wait for boot sequence to complete.
  8. Configuration: Follow on-screen prompts or access web interface for network and account configuration.
Warning: All network configurations must be performed by qualified IT personnel to ensure proper operation and security.

Troubleshooting

Common Error Messages

  • Configuring IP: Phone is obtaining network configuration - Wait for completion
  • Registering: Phone is attempting to register with call manager - Check network connectivity
  • TFTP Error: Configuration file download failed - Verify TFTP server settings
  • DHCP Timeout: Failed to obtain IP address - Check DHCP server availability
  • DNS Error: Cannot resolve server name - Verify DNS server configuration
  • Security Error: Certificate validation failed - Check date/time settings and certificates
