IP Phone 8800 Series

Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Ethernet cable (Cat5e or higher)
  • Power adapter (if not using PoE)
  • Network switch with PoE support
  • Screwdriver (for wall mount)
  • Network configuration tool

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Network Preparation: Ensure your network switch supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) or have the AC power adapter ready.
  2. Connect to Network: Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the phone's network port and the other to your network switch.
  3. Power Connection: If using PoE, the phone will power up automatically. Otherwise, connect the AC power adapter.
  4. Handset and Accessories: Connect the handset to the handset port and optional accessories like headsets or expansion modules.
  5. Initial Boot: Allow the phone to boot up completely. This may take 2-3 minutes for initial configuration.
  6. Network Configuration: Configure network settings either manually or via DHCP, depending on your network setup.
  7. Phone Registration: Register the phone with your call control system (CUCM, CME, or third-party PBX).
  8. Test Functionality: Test basic functions including making/receiving calls, volume controls, and feature buttons.

Troubleshooting

  • TFTP Error: Configuration server unreachable - Check network connectivity
