Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place phone on a stable, flat surface.

  1. Connect Network: Plug Ethernet cable from switch into the NETWORK port on the phone.
  2. Connect PC (Optional): Use second Ethernet cable from PC port on phone to your computer.
  3. Connect Handset: Plug coiled handset cord into the HANDSET port.
  4. Connect Headset (Optional): Plug into the HEADSET port.
  5. Apply Power: Phone powers on via PoE. If not using PoE, connect the optional power adapter to the DC IN port and an electrical outlet.

WARNING! Use only approved power sources. Ensure cables are not pinched or damaged.

First-Time Setup

Phone will boot and register with the Cisco Unified Communications Manager.

  1. Check Registration: Observe the display. It should show your extension number and "Registered" status.
  2. Set User Preferences: Press the Settings button. Configure time/date, ringtones, and display contrast.
  3. Configure Voicemail: Press the Messages button and follow prompts to set up your voicemail PIN and greeting.

  1. Make a Call: Lift handset or press Speakerphone/Headset, dial number.

  3. Hold: Press Hold softkey to place call on hold. Press Resume to retrieve.
  4. Transfer: During a call, press Transfer, dial target number, press Transfer again.
  5. Conference: During a call, press Conference, dial second party, press Conference again to merge.
  6. Forward All: Press CFwdAll softkey, enter destination number.
  7. Call Park: Press More > Park to park a call. Retrieve by dialing the park retrieval number.
  8. Speed Dials: Assign frequently called numbers to programmable line/feature buttons.
