Installation Guide

Tools Needed:

  • Wireless access point
  • Ethernet cable (for initial setup)
  • Power adapter
  • Network configuration tool
  • Screwdriver (if mounting)

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Network Preparation: Ensure your wireless network supports WPA2-Enterprise security and has proper VLAN configuration for voice traffic.
  2. Physical Setup: Connect the phone to power using the provided adapter. For initial setup, connect via Ethernet to your network.
  3. Wireless Configuration: Access the phone's web interface to configure wireless settings including SSID, security type, and authentication credentials.
  4. Call Manager Registration: Configure the phone to register with your Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) or Call Manager Express.
  5. Firmware Update: Check and update to the latest firmware version for optimal performance and security.
  6. Feature Configuration: Set up speed dials, call forwarding, voicemail, and other features as per your organization's requirements.
  7. Testing: Test call functionality, audio quality, and wireless connectivity by making test calls to internal and external numbers.
