Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Place on stable surface.

  1. Connect to Network: Use Ethernet cable to connect the SW port to your network switch.
  2. Connect PC (Optional): Use second Ethernet cable from PC port to your computer.
  3. Power the Phone: Use Power over Ethernet (PoE) from switch or connect external power adapter.
  4. Connect Handset: Plug handset cord into jack on back of phone.

WARNING! Ensure network switch supports PoE if using that method. Use only approved power adapter.

First-Time Setup

Phone will boot and register with Cisco Unified Communications Manager.

  1. Check Registration: Wait for phone to display your extension number.
  2. Set Language: Press Settings button, navigate to User Preferences > Language.
  3. Adjust Ring Tone: Press Settings, select Ring Type, choose preferred tone.
  4. Set Date and Time: Usually synchronized from network; verify on display.

  4. Mute: Press Mute button during call; press again to unmute.
  5. Adjust Volume: Use Volume control during call for handset/speaker volume.
  6. Redial: Press Redial softkey or dial last number manually.
  7. Hold: Press Hold softkey to place call on hold; press Resume to return.

WARNING! Emergency calls may require special configuration; verify with administrator.

Advanced Features

Voicemail: Message waiting light indicates new voicemail; dial voicemail access number. Call Forward: Configure via phone settings or administrator. Network Statistics: View via Settings > Network Configuration.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug before cleaning. Use dry, soft cloth; avoid liquids.
